I was refused because my medical report hasn't come through yet (I just got it done late last week) but he said as soon as that comes through I will be approved!

They asked for my:

original birth cert & copy

original marriage cert & copy

original police certs & copies

original work permit & copy

then at the second desk he asked for my I-864 & I-864A.

all in all they were very nice. we spoke about traveling and our star signs. :)

Like every other part of this process, I have way over thought everything so I just wanted to ask anyone that has any input on this.
On my 221(g) I finally received the rest of the documents I was waiting for.
It states on my 221(g)-work sheet if your case is electronic upload the information requested to CEAC/DS260 .
I signed on to my CEAC account and just added the document file as "other" 221(G) requested additional documents and submitted.

On the FAQ page AIS account log in I think is if you are mailing in documents.
I am not sure if I need to do anything else or just hurry up to wait.

sounds like you're at another hurry up and wait stage; may your wait be brief!

Just to keep everyone updated. Sorry for the delay.

Had the interview on October 1. Was placed on administrative processing. Long time spend at the embassy 3 hours and 45 min total time.

CEAC website was refused under administrative processing on late Friday. Today was issued under administrative processing.

Reason an old student visa more than 10 years ago, not cleared before. No one asks for Covid vaccine. They asked only for the beneficiary documents originals, not the petitioner.  Will keep you posted how long is gonna take to get to final processing. But for FAQ, old non immigrant visa does affect the immigrant visa.

Could you elaborate on what was the issue with your old student visa? What do you mean by "not cleared before"? I too have an old visa, just wondering if this is something I should be worried about. Thanks!

I was told by the officer, that the old visa was not cleared by them before, since I left the country before my visa expires, which is legal. They didn't not close the old visa properly, and to be honest with you. I don't know what I could have done before to change it, no one mention that prior. But my understanding from him, it is their mistake and they will clear it. Now is been 5 days under AP, no changes in my status yet.

Just an update? Just again checked today my CEAC, and it says my visa issued and under final processing today.

Does any one knows how long is gonna take to actually receive the passport if you placed a Purolator in London, Ontario location from Montreal, and can I change it now to Montreal after I already made the registration. thx

They asked for I864 and 864A?? Didnt we already submit that? Do we need to get that print out as well?

I had already uploaded it to CEAC but he asked for the original copies. He said it was a good thing I brought them because it could have "delayed the process by several weeks"

Hi Guys, Just wanted to give a new update. So signed into CEAC to check our status and look what changed....So This is what it looks like when they are about to send your visa... As noted above our interview was on Oct 4th and officer said it could take 4 weeks, however as you can see it has taken only 3 days! So the consulate is working at an amazing speed now which should encourage us all! Thoughts and prayers to all those still waiting!
