Is anyone having trouble with registering their Visa Appointment? I have put in all the info, however it is coming up saying that my case no. is not ready for an appointment. However I received the IL today.

Ok just a follow up. I called NVC who had me call the Consulate. They advised that often the system is delayed in updating the Case Numbers for appointments. They advised to just keep trying over the next few business days and it will post. Thought I would post this in case anyone else faces this issue.

FYI, for anyone in Montreal, in my confirmation email, there's this note:

IMPORTANT: Please take note that if your protocol includes an x-ray and your appointment is booked after September 20th, the x-ray will be completed at our Du Boisé Clinic, located at 6100 Av. du Boisé, Montréal, QC H3S 2W1. Instructions on how to get there will be provided on-site during your appointment and transportation arrangements between the two clinics will be offered.

Best of luck to you otherwise, hope it's smooth sailing from here!

So I’m now starting to full out pack. I plan to get my passport and leave ASAP I got a Christmas tree to put up. How to do I list the price of my items. Like value wise... bc upack says price sold at a garage sale. I get that but some things like half used nail polish or undies to me wouldn’t have a value once used. Or should I just put prices down for like my tv and things ppl would buy at a garage sale?

Without having used upack before, makes sense to just put prices on things people would buy at a garage sale.

I am guessing they use that figure for insurance purposes?

Yeah. I figured the same when I researched upack. Id do the price per item to be on safe side.

Also, to add on to the packing and shipping...does anyone know if when bringing your belongings in like 1 or 2 checked luggages requires any of this specifically when at POE like Pearson?

Id be bringing only 1x carryon and at most 1 to 2 checked bags when I go to POE. Do we simply just precheck our bags prior to TSA & customs like normal travel or would they require me to like bring and go through my luggage in Secondary customs?

Just want to put it out there that I used tote scan labels and I exported to an excel spreadsheet and it made it went very smoothly. I used u-boxes. ToteScan Intelligent QR Labels for organizing & Storage (45 Unique Labels, 2.5"x3") https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LF3XPLJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QH7F7V5AXGF1JQ2BF0F8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Hi all,

Any recent experiences with Dr. Mascarenhas in Toronto in terms of how long before the interview to do the medical appointment? I can't get in until the 24th. With my interview on the 4th, it gives me just a week for the consulate to receive the documentation. They indicated it would arrive within a week, but just checking for recent experiences. Thank you!

Hello

Is there a covid test requirement for crossing over to Usa from Canada by land? Is there a link where I can read about this ?

There isn’t any federal requirement. You would have to check if there is any for the state (I haven’t heard of one).

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html No you don’t need a test but only us visa holders and citizens and essential workers can cross via land.
