I inquired in late June and it wouldn’t let me do the I-90 form because our number didn’t match. It made me do the 485 or something like that.

I just did an inquiry through MyUSCIS.  Like an email inquiry.  I didn't fill out any forms.  I had to later when they had Kid2's status wrong, but that was a different drama.

Alberta friends.... Which Medical did you make your appointment at and why?
I am DQ October 28,2020 so really hopeful for the next batch and I need to financially plan...
Is there a list of how much each place charges also?

We had 3 of us that needed medicals so we flew to Montreal and just did them at Medisys and stayed the extra couple of days.  It was cheaper and logistically easier at the time.  I think mine was around $400.

Do you have all the vaccines you need already?  That will have an impact on pricing.

Did you need the chicken pox vaccine? I had them when I was little just don’t have a record of it.

My wife are ready to cross the border on Friday. I read through the FAQS, and there doesn’t seem to be any additional documentation we have to present at the border besides her passport with the Stamped visa. Is that all we need? Thanks

Does the embassy keep the original 1040 tax form and original Canadian police certificate at the interview ? When going through my blinder, I realized they did not give them back to me (and I don't think I lost them)

I was wondering the same thing about the police certificate??

Yep that's it! The packets are digital now. The visa won't be stamped until you POE so don't worry when it arrives without one haha. The police certificate should be returned with your passport.

Hey y’all I fly out for my medical tomorrow in Vancouver with dr cheema and I’m just going over everything I need to bring.

I have my vaccination records, interview letter, 5 US passport photos, medical records/prognosis & list of medications for my illness and my passport. Am I forgetting anything?? I’m always so afraid I’ll forget something.

Thank you for your answer. Glad to hear it’s all digital now haha. I came to the U.S 10 years ago when carrying a sealed envelope made you panic.

My wife picked up her passport today, but the police certificate wasn’t returned. We don’t really care at this point since we had another original one from a more recent certificate she got just in case for the interview.

When I went to Dr Zatzmans in Ontario everything you listed was what he wanted except they did not need passport photos because they took my photo and uploaded it ..

Im not sure what Dr Cheema needs but on a side note I would bring enough cash to cover the cost of everything  with Dr Zatzman they accept all forms of payment now but in the past no credit card payments .

I doubled checked every document they gave me and I missed a spelling error on my lab requisition's .Lucky the x-ray lab seen it because the blood lab told me if it was not corrected they probably wouldn't of released my blood lab results.

Wow glad you got the error! And thank you so much! I always get anxious I’m forgetting a document.

I’m in Calgary and am flying out to Vancouver tomorrow for my medical. I only ever considered van because it’s the closest but I wish I had looked into the prices for flights to Toronto at the time. Usually flying to van you can snag a 100$ round trip from here but I paid almost 450$...and I have friends going to Toronto in September for fun because the flights are much cheaper than usual, around 200$ I believe. So I think it really depends when you go.

I think it depends on WHEN you book.

If you booked a month or two ago, airlines were offering cheaper prices because of COVID and fewer people wanted to travel. With higher vaccination rates and border opening to vaccinated travellers from US, the flight rates recently went up. My husband just booked tickets from Boston to Toronto for September 30. These are usually about $270 pre COVID when booked so much in advance. We had to book it at over $500...

Unfortunately (and in some ways fortunately) we need to get things done at short notice for the interview. I feel your pain and count my blessings for being in Toronto...It is, still, a happy problem to have. The bright side is of course, you HAVE an interview date scheduled and will be reunited with your spouse very soon.
