To those of you who got approved recently, how many business days did it took from the Interview Date to the reception of the Passport? Or at least the Purolator email.

I got a bit too excited, got approved last Friday, booked a U-Haul and resigned the lease for this Saturday, I need the passport asap 🤣

Thx

I had my interview on July 21 and purolator updated this morning that my passport is out for delivery today (July 27)

it seems they send passports out of Friday’s. So if your interview was last Friday you might not get your passport until next Monday or Tuesday…

Hi again,

Yes, we talked, outside, and our brief convo helped subdue my anxiety a bit. Thank you!

He kept my passport and he said he would investigate more about why I got turned away at the order, how many times I crossed, when was the longest time I stayed in the US. Not that I didn’t give him the wholesome truthfulness answers but he just need to check, and he will follow up with me only through email.

As a video player rewinding in my mind over and over a thousand times, of the interview, I truly get the reasons why this experience is a nerve cracking hurdle to some people, including myself, even though I am genuinely throughout and our marriage is 1000% bona fide, the Consular Officer has to try reading your mind between the lines, with your 3/4 of your face covered by a mask, your voice got blocked by a sheet of flexi glass, setting in a public room that everyone can hear your love story. What upsetting thing is, this set of questions probably be asked to any body in the world, same category with us. But with you folks, Canadian- USA, for all the long distant relationship, we just hop over the border whenever we could to see your significant other. So naturally, you will have the I-94 longer than your job application form and you will get turned around one time at the least, during the dating period. Why asked? Why left us hanging on a thread? Why? and Why? and Why?

My rant! Thanks for reading

Hi!

My visa has been updated to Issued today! Keep an eye out, I'm sure yours will be soon as well!

Hello everyone,

I just noticed from the previous I-864 form that I misread PART 6 (Sponsor's employment and income). I only read "employed as an" but didn't see the "I am currently" part, so I thought it asks about my wife previous job. The form was prepared in 2020 and my wife didn't work at all for that year. However, I did upload the new updated form with her new job that she got in JAN 2021. Should I notify the CO before the interview start about the mistake and also mention that I uploaded the new I-864 form with the updated and correct information? OR Just tell them I uploaded a new I-864 form with updated information?

Thanks!

CONGRATS! Great news to know AP was only a few days!

Thank you!!! I expected it to be sometime this week because my interview was on a Friday and I assumed Friday/the weekend were a write off but I was pleasantly surprised that it was done by today! Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you as well!

Actually that resets every time you cross the border. A previous entry does not remain valid legal presence after you exit the US; your entry must be granted anew.

I think this only applies to Canadian Citizens who get a new 6 month entry each time they arrive at the border and admitted. VWP nationals and visa required visitors will generally be re-admitted on the same I-94 if it is valid for the duration of the proposed trip.

It was standard practice for me when entering by land to use the same 90 day VWP I-94 many, many times over. I had to go into secondary every three months to get a new one and get fingerprinted. They were fine giving me successive I-94s so long I spent more days in Canada than the US.

Hi, thank you! Yes, it was because I was refused entry at the border last August when trying to take my newborn daughter to visit her great grandmother. I wasn't able to prove ties to Canada because I was on maternity leave, and living at my parents house. They had to double check that I wasn't refused for anything that would make me inadmissible as a whole.

Hi there,

Do we need to resubmit a Form I-864 for a joint sponsor along with a 2020 tax return?

Thanks!
