IR-1/CR-1 Montreal DQ'd private message group goes public part 3

So I realized I uploaded the short form of Canadian birth certificate (the wallet sized one) which is not accepted. Now ordering a long form from Service Ontario.

Should I immediately upload the correct version to CEAC under Optional documents? Or wait until NVC reviews the case? It will be another month before NVC gets to my case (submitted late Aug). Will I be put on back of line when I do so?

NVC got to our case super quickly (within a month), so I would highly recommend that you submit it ASAP, and send them a message about it, otherwise it might create delays.

They mentioned currently they are interviewing Oct 2020 for spousal visa. But i hear some folks who got DQ'd in Dec 2020 got their interview. Amy thought?

May be they didnt have updated number? which is very odd by the way!!

Thanks so much for sharing this.

I really appreciate it when Montreal uploads these videos.. also glad that it looks like our speculations are indeed true. Good snooping @Twiz&Toz!

I hope that we will reach at least April 2021 DQ by end of this year. Seems quite achievable.

PS - I noticed that MTL is interviewing K1s in October of people with upto Feb 2021 NOA2. So hopefully we will reach Feb 2021 DQs in the next round of IR1/CR1 ILs.

Hi all.

After my interview on sept 27, my status was changed by that afternoon to issued, final processing, message about receiving it within 5 days, etc. It’s been exactly four days since that message, and I still don’t have a tracking number or a confirmation email from Canada post. Does anyone know what it taking so long? I thought that once it was issued, they usually got it to a courier within a day or two. I have a flight booked for next Wednesday that I’m assuming I’ll have to cancel because of these additional delays. Any advice or similar experiences would be much appreciated.

Did you have the tracking number for your passport yet? Just curious!

We are IR5 (Parents of US Citizen) Category. Our visa was approved and we are in the US right now. This group really helps everyone. Just want to post some points based on our interview experience.

1. Police certificate is valid for 2 years now
2. Get a Police certificate for any other country if you lived 6 months there anytime
3. Upload recent tax returns etc.. It saves your time and their time
4. Got passport back in a week Sep 27th (Pick up at Montreal)
5. Don't forget to pay immigrant fee after passport received.  https://my.uscis.gov/uscis-immigrant-fee/

Thank you @Hawk Riders for this group. Please add SSN and Green card timelines also in the excel. It avoids duplicate posts about it.
