Can anyone please tell me how to contact the consulate in Mexico and speak to a live person? My family is here in Ciudad Juarez for a interview for my two daughters for an IR 2 visa. The first appointment went well yesterday. The documents were looked at and the box was checked that every document necessary was there and today they went for the interview and were told that we needed documents that weren’t even included on the list of documents necessary. My girls have a flight leaving in a few hours and I need to speak with someone there ASAP. I am the petitioner and the girl’s father went with them. Can someone help please. This trip has cost us thousands of dollars in flights, hotels, etc

***Moved to the Mexico, Latin, & South America regional discussion area where someone familiar with that consulate might be able to help****

Flight leaving in a few hours??????  I hope you bought refundable tickets.  It can take weeks to get passports back after an interview.

Your phone call isn’t likely to get the officer to move any faster than they plan.

You’re going to have to reschedule that flight. Scheduling flights without visas in hand are at your own risk and frankly the consular officers don’t care about such.

Sorry however it is what it is.

Just another random guy from the internet with an opinion, although usually backed by data!

Is this their planned flight to immigrate to the US?? If so then this ladies and gentlemen is why you don't book tickets before you have the visa (with no mistakes) in hand.

No, this wasn’t a flight to immigrate to the states. We aren’t that stupid. It’s just a flight to get them back to their home in Mexico. The Consulate made a big mistake in asking my husband for my Mexican passport. I do not have a Mexican passport - only my husband does and he had it with him at the interview. Big mistake by the Consulate officer in not reviewing the file in advance. My husband tried to explain everything and he didn’t care. And that mistake is costing us big time
