I do. And as such, know you are making stuff up.

Oh, so you're saying that the medical requirements for a variety of visas are in error? Well you'd have to take that up with the US government, and not me.

No, I am saying you are making up the requirements as you post.  What vaccinations are required of visa applicants that are not required of USC?

It sounds like you are unfamiliar with vaccines and immigration, or maybe the rules for the Guyanese are different.

You know the vaccines that are on the required list, you can find that list on VJ itself. I'm not going to waste my time listing them for you.

There is no law in the US that states any of those vaccinations are required of the US citizen to live in the US. When it comes to entry into public/private school settings a state may require mandatory compliance, however as we know quite well there are a plethora of exemptions - and in general a parent that is entirely anti-vax will not put their children into a situation where such questions would arise to begin with. I know people precisely like this. As a result there are millions of individuals without vaccinations that are required of immigrants entering into the US on a variety of visas, and that includes some people who have never had a vaccination in their entire life to the detriment of their health and those around them.

Quote

The rise in parents opting out has caused the AMA grave concern, with many experts decrying the rise of so-called "exemptions of convenience." In some areas, nearly one out of five children have not received their recommended vaccines. The consequences are serious not only for those unprotected children, but for the rest of society as well. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15568260/

Meh I dunno maybe there's people on VJ that magically managed to bring themselves or their immigrant spouse to the US without having to comply with the xray, genital exam (when it existed, I hear they dialed that back now), and jabby stabby stab in the arms or any paperwork or background checks whatsoever. More power to 'em I guess...

Magic, seriously?

When my spouse immigrated here, all that was required was a TB test.  Seems the country of departure already had enough vaccinations to suffice.

Just in case someone on this site has read this disinformation above. You cannot immigrate to the US with just a TB test. You will need to be current on several vaccines. Please refer to the guidance from the CDC below:

We are taking our third covid era trip to Canada  next week and we will not get in without the vaccine, a negative test within 72 hours and another test on entry. Our citizenship provides no exemption. It just seems like common sense. When I come home to the US (land crossing), no one asks any basic screening questions and provide no guidance on quarantine or testing.

We are way to lax imo.

Hopefully you don't end up with a false positive test.

Umm, you do know that there is a vaccine waiver available for intending immigrants, so spreading the mis-information that an intending immigrant has no choice is irresponsible; after-all this is an immigration board.  Now, most people will chose not to add this additional hoop to their already frustrating immigration process, but it is there.

Word is Biden wants to impose a vaccine mandate for anyone who wants to fly US citizen or not. We are planning a trip to visit my wife's family next year or as soon as the Philippines lifts their covid restrictions. She hasn't seen them in 5 years and they have never met our 3 year old but if vaccines are gonna be required we aren't going I guess.

Us too. I bet when it opens up tickets will be $$$$$
