So you are saying that the mask you wear, which is for MY benefit, stops all droplets?  And that is why you believe in them with what borders on religious fanatacism?

Don't you think that SOME of your droplets escape AROUND the mask?  Haven't you worn your mask outside in the cold?

Obviously 99 % of the mask types and how they are put on do not provide 100% protection, but they reduce risks.  Reducing transmission rates are the goal.

The science proves that and the common sense of not having someones spittle broadcast to everyone in a pandemic is obvious, but not obvious enough I guess.

So back to the question, if the goal is to filter out virus laden moist droplets which the masks have shown to help, why are you debating filters for the virus alone and airborne, which never happens?

It slows the spread. Never claimed to stop it. Kinda like a seat belt. It's just a tool.

If you're prohibited from living your life freely if you don't do what the authoritarians (of government or business or the military) say, then they're forced.

The audacity of the health authorities in my state, forcing restaurant employees to wash their hands before handling food, or using the toilets, or just because I guess.  Unbelievable.   Their employers have to keep their refrigators cold, and their kitchens or they get fined. Plus, it's not like they wash their hands like surgeons, nor their kitchens like ORs, so who knows how many germs are still left 🤢  🤮
Then, another department had me pay to get a licence to drive my own car, plus registration for that car. And get insurance.  Plus inspection to make sure I have breaks, I guess. Land of the free lol.

Yes, that is correct.  Slows.  But some seem to think it prevents spread.

I know of a few other tools...

And yet, you seem to be one of those who want to give away more of your freedoms during this pandemic.  The more we roll over and just accept, the more we will find them pushing on us.

Perfect solution would be for the leftist Robespierres to install guillotines and do away with the unvaccinated before the latter can potentially infect anybody.  Problem solved.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Is there an actual point to this meme?  We are not required to get a license to be a USC?  Are you suggesting USC should be stripped from anyone that does not follow the edicts from the unelected bureaucrats such as Drs. Fauci, Collins, or the CDC director (forgot her name and have no desire to search for it)?  Feel free to give up your freedom and live your life in a bubble.

Did I say that? No. It's common sense.

Nothing about filtration efficiency testing is common sense.  Not all exhaled particles/droplets are the same size, and masks have a definitive filtration efficiency.  Most simple single layer filters will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 microns at 98% efficient, and that drops off rapidly as the particles get smaller where at around 8 micron, the efficiency drops off to around 50%.  With the myriad of materials used for filters, it is hard to really say how much exhaled material will be captured, I expect some, but there will also be quite a bit of material that passes through.

You are wasting your time.  But so do I, though I doubt doubling up will cause anyone to change their minds here in CEHST.  At least you can rest easy knowing what you know.
