Anyone have suggestions on a good cell phone? My daughter just bought a razor and I thought I'd like one but now that have used it once I don't think it's for me since the reception's not as good as the one I'm using now. I'm looking for a flip phone. The one I have now is a slider and I hate it.

And while I'm at it, on the off chance there's a techie here, how do I transfer ring tones from an old motorola v235 to my computer so I don't have to buy 11 new ring tones again??? I've been looking all over the net for like two hours now and I have a headache.

I've loved Nokia for 10+ years. The specific model is up to you.

I have razr too and it sucks..to say the least. Alot of new phones now come with a data cable that you can use to transfer music or pictures from the computer (you personal collection). This is what I use with my razr and my daughter's sliver (equally sucks). The data cable thing is cool though because transferring songs and pics is free! You can also transfer music using bluetooth if you have it.

i always had nokias then the cute hot pink razr came and i had to have it. big mistake. the battery drains SO FAST, not as good of a signal, and i just didn't like the set up compared to nokias. so i went back to a nokia and still love it! nokias are better for using the SMS feature and they usually have a really easy to use calendar, imo.

nice but no can do. deemabrouk can attest that my phone now calls people when it's in my pocketbook.........when we were together last it called my husband in EGYPT. Poor thing had these visions of me being kidnapped and thought I was trying to let him hear my last words. lol

I definitely need the flip phone.

Relax, you can add a password, which will preclude you from inadvertantly dialing numbers, a problem I had with a previous phone. With a relatively simple password, you cannot dial numbers by mistake.

Most non-flip phones have a lock feature. That is what I did before I got a flip phone. As far as the Razr, I think It's difficult to navigate. Also, the vibrate feature is weak. I carry my cell in my back pocket and always have it on vibrate and I miss a lot of calls because I didn't feel it. My old samsung was a great phone and I wish the Razr was more like it. Also, the Razr is veryfragile. I broke my forst one within 3 weeks of having it and my son broke his on the 1st day of having his. They're pretty, but that's about it. I had a pantech (C300..?..something like that) flip phone and I loved it until I washed it. (Left it in my back pocket as I loaded washer..) I'll never do that again...I hope.
