Good morning,

 

Does anyone know how to get Tourist Visa to Qatar, my wife lives in Baghdad and we trying to get her visa to Qatar so she can attend her interview, we tried Qatar airways the said we don’t provide visa , we tried Qatar embassy they said we don’t provide visa , we’ve been waiting a year and half for Qatar to open the borders and they just started allowing visitors on July 12th .

 

please share any information if you have been in this situation.

Citizens of Iraq do not need a visa to enter Qatar (unless they are arriving from mainland China), and can stay in the country for an unlimited period. Citizens of Iraq need a passport to enter Qatar if they are coming from countries other than Iraq.

I am living in Qatar and typically it is difficult for Iraqi citizens to get a visa to Qatar. Do you have any relatives in Qatar?

 

Most posts I find on the US Embassy in Qatar FB page are the same as yours.

 

Alternatively, you could ask for your case to be moved to the embassy in UAE.
