So, I have had conflicting answers on this. I have heard that some people include their photos with the fiancé during the interview, but I read that you should include 2-5 pictures (names and dates on them) in the envelope when you send the K1 application…is this true? Should I include some photos as well? I have included flight itineraries and screenshots of our FaceTime calls etc already.

Meeting at least once within 2 years of filing I-129F is required. Evidence of this meeting is required. Photos are part of the evidence.

I documented every meeting we had up until the day I sent the I-129F.  Itineraries and photos, with at least  photo embedded with each   itinerary.

We sent no pictures at all, no RFEs, and petition was approved in 6 months, which was average at that time.

Proof of meeting within the prior two years is the requirement for the petition.   Flight itineraries,  photos and FaceTime screenshots are not evidence of to prove this requirement.

YMMV

Are you sure? Even in the instructions for the application it lists “flight itineraries and boarding passes” as one of the evidences you can include.

When dealing with immigration,  you need to pay close attention to any conjunction.  You are overlooking the AND in the instruction.  By itself, a flight itinerary only shows you purchased a ticket.  However,  a flight itinerary AND a boarding pass shows you actually flew.

YMMV

At the time I applied, I no longer had access to my boarding passes, as they were electronic, and I didn't know at the time that I would later need the evidence when filing the I-129F. I submitted two pictures, my flight itineraries, passport stamps, hotel receipts, a couple restaurant receipts, and a short letter about our in-person meeting. Thankfully we were approved with no RFEs.

Members that have added everything under the bus are usually form high fraud countries. This is called preloading. They do this as many high fraud countries tend to be much harder and they do not always get to hand over more evidence at the interview.

You asked if sending extra things(your photos) needed. I'm telling you that the only time sending anything extra with the petition is beneficial is when dealing with high fraud countries.

If you want to send the pictures go ahead. As long as you have the evidence that you truly need to show - Meeting within two years of filling.

Ohh okay. As far as evidence of meeting goes, I have both itineraries for my flight there and back - as well as one boarding pass from my flight there and one boarding pass from my flight back. I have screenshots of our many, many FaceTime calls since I’ve been back (evidence of ongoing relationship). Does that seem sufficient?

send what you have. you have to have evidence of meeting in PERSON (not facetime calls) within TWO YEARS of filing. SO you would need your boarding passes and other evidence of your in PERSON meetings within that two years. boarding passes, photos, hotel receipts, credit card receipts, etc
