The USCIS stating that there is no limit an no waiting time for unmarried children (under 21) of US children when filling for I-130 or AOS. Anyone is aware of the processing time of I-130 or I-485 for children of USC?

That is correct.. There is no set time that they will approve I-130 for unmarried children under 21. You can view the processing times under the service center on the uscis.gov website.(https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/) I have seen approvals from 2 months up to years. I filed for my stepchildren in March 2019. I finally received approval in June/July 2021 after getting my local senator involved.

Do you know if the same issue could happen for I-485? If the child is already in the US, I think USCIS should deliver at least temporary document to be able to register the child in School, get SS,..etc?

Not sure, concerning the I-485 for the child already in the U.S.

In order to get a SSN they will need to apply for EADs with their AOS filing. This is because SSA does not just give out SSNs to anyone who wants one. You have to have a status that allows you to work which is an EAD. You can also speak to your tax preparer about obtaining ITINs (which is basically a tax ID number for those w/o SSNs) but Im not sure if ITINs are issued to minors or if there is another option.

As for the school you will want to reach out to the local school district to find out what they need for you to register the children. Typically the NOA 797c receipt is sufficient for such things as it shows you have a pending 485. But no there is no temporary status document because technically you dont have a status you are here in a period of authorized stay. Meaning they know you are here and have no official status but are OK with it because the paperwork is pending.
