Hey everyone, anyone submitted documents around august 23? I’m still waiting for DQ. Thanks

I submitted 18th August and had an RFE last week - no idea how/why I was reviewed early

So I guess those timeframes they have on the NVC website are not to be trusted. Mind telling me what the RFE was about?

I don't mind at all - they asked for a W-2 and 1099 for my wife, and a 1099 form for my financial sponsor.

Unfortunately we don't have any of those, as my wife earned all of her 2020 income in the UK (We had already attached her pay slips, with UK address clearly shown on them) and my sponsor has not received a 1099 tax form. So we had to upload signed letters stating that we do not have the forms they are asking for.

Really frustrating to go to the back of line for just stating that we don't have the forms they've asked for, ESPECIALLY as I can't see any evidence of these forms being legally required if a tax transcript has been submitted. But.. you just have to bite it and move forward unfortunately.

Oh man that’s so frustrating and I don’t understand why do they put you in the back of the line once anyone receives a RFE. My wife is in Pakistan and they don’t have to deal with all these documents I hope I’m good. Best of luck and I hope the process is quick and painless for you.

we had the same issue, and have sent in a signed statement, now I'm telling everyone I see on here to submit all W2/1099 for each sponsor and then submit a signed statement per sponsor to state why a W2 or 1099 is not submitted (due to earning abroad, business owner, retired, etc).

My case is being handled by my lawyer so I wouldn’t know but I think you should. I’m guessing the transcript should have all the info the NVC people need so you should be good but id double check the transcript and see if it includes any info from the W2’s.
