Hey everyone... I had my medical today. I have old self-harm scars on my wrist (they're like 15 years old) and she spent a long time asking me about them, like if I've ever attempted suicide or been hospitalized. I said no...

I asked her if this influenced the process in any way and she said no, did not refer me to a psychological evaluation or at least she didn't mention it at this stage. I've done every test and she told me she'll contact me to get my results.

Do you guys think I'm clear or am I in trouble? Could she still refer me to the psychological evaluation at this point?

Edit: I've already gotten my shots also. My interview is on the 18th.

I don’t think so. She told you what she thought.

If needed she would asked in the moment, IMO. I was taking depression medication when I did mine and she asked in the same moment that she wanted a letter from my doctors.

What happened with my case was just that the doctor didn’t sent the results directly to me. She delivered on the Consulate herself. So don’t worry if this happens with you too.

Good luck

Thank you for your answer. I also didn't get an eye exam or dental checkup during my medical so I'm wondering if that's a bad sign... Do they always do it?

Why would they do either of those?  MDs are not dentists, anyway.

They do an eye exam for the visa medical in Manila, but no dental check-up.  I think it's just a consolation to make it seem worth the ridiculous price we have to pay for that medical.

Eye exams sure (read this line from this distance, etc) but I've never heard of a dental check. Besides dental tests would need to be performed by a qualified dentist in order for the results to be valid, not a typical doctor (can't really do the equivalent to the eye test, taste this from this distance).

What we think is immaterial and conjecture.  Yes she could, anything is possible. However try not to worry over what you have no control over. You will find out soon enough. Think positive
