I just received the letter for my biometrics. It's scheduled for August 27th. I can't wait till then since my case has been pending for a while now. I was wondering if anyone was successful walking in early in Salt Lake ASC. I don't want to waste my time since I would he travelling from Idaho.

I plan on being the first person at the appointment on Wednesday haha. I don't know if it's a good idea.

Are you asking if you can walk in early on Aug 27, or are you asking if you can just walk in anyday?

If the latter, you will not get past door security, since you will not be on the list of appointments for that day.

Ermm, what of the people saying they were successful walking in any day?

Pre pandemic or Post?  Also, who are these "people"?

USCIS visitor policy:

Also, the page where it mentions to not come until 15 minutes before the appointment time:

Most people have been waiting, many for a very long time.  COVID has slowed down an already slow process.  Even if they let you in and you do biometrics now vs. Aug. 27, the adjudication of the AOS will take as long as it takes.  Doing biometrics early won't speed it up so there's no point in trying IMO.  Just look at the many cases here on VJ where people have been waiting a year or even two for AOS or ROC after biometrics and still have not heard anything.  If you're traveling from Idaho to SLC it could be a waste of time.  Good luck!

I just want to say I was able to get my biometrics done today. I travelled 3hours yesterday, stayed the night at a hotel near the location and I went for my biometrics at 7am this morning.

I met only 1 person there, so they just did mine since I came early. It didn't take more than 15 minutes to get everything done. They were happy to do my biometrics and they did it fast.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
