Can I just say how frustrated I am? Patrick and I have been dating 4 1/2 years. We knew for about 3 of those years we wanted to get married but we waited until I was out of college to get engaged. Now that we are I'm frustrated at the long wait. I went to Scotland to visit him this past Christmas, but after coming back I've been completely depressed. I know some of you have been waiting longer than me for this form, but I've been living without him for a REALLY long time and I think that's what's pushing my depression over the wait. Sorry, I just needed to vent. I know you guys are waiting a long time too. :)

You wait is almost over. I used to call Claudeth a lot and that really helped. Of course it also helped the phone company, my bill would run as much as $500 a month even with the international plan the phone company offered me. Keep your chin up, it will be over soon and then you have the rest of your lives to look forward to. Good luck :D

No matter the length of time, being away from the one you love feels unbearable. However, I can tell you from experience that it makes the times together that much more precious. You will both appreciate each other more because of the struggle you went through to be together at last. Do not regret the time you lost, just do what you have to do now, to get where you want to be.

Wishing you the best,

Leslie

Hugs Miranda...It IS hard, Joel and I haven't done this as long as you and Patrick, but I can certainly sympathise with your feelings of depression. It helps to talk to him via computer every night, webcam, and phone calls. Chin up dear...it will happen soon. (F)

Thanks for all the support. I try to talk to Patrick as much as possible, but I teach all day and because of the time difference by the time I get off work he's already at work (he works night shift). So we wait all week until the weekend where I unload and cry lol. He's really being supportive. I don't think he really realized what he was getting into, me trying to get all the immigration stuff together and trying to be a first year teacher. But he's so supportive of everything and he hurts as much as me... he just doesn't cry as much. LOL
