Hello All.,

Sharing my experience from today's interview. I am a EB1 applicant with DQ date in Aug 2021 and had interview earlier today.

Was fairly simple and stragithforward. At the embassy you need to register your presence and do not have to wait in queue. You will be short-queued directly to security. Phones and snacks (i have a little one) are allowed. Laptops are now. Post security, there is a Check In inside the embassy and you get a ticket number. For immigrant visas, there is a different sub section on the first floor. following it there is a 2 stage process, first to collect documents and second one is the actual interview. Both were fairly simple. Be sure to take original birth and marriage certificates and police verification documents and offer letter.

Well done - did they approve you at the interview?  We have our EB3 interview this week.  Can you share what kind of questions you were asked?

Yes, they mention verbally.

Very standard Qs like team structure, education, role and duration within the company, etc. No more than a few minutes.

A little off topic but have a little problem also. I had to renew my passport after filing my ds260 but before I got my interview date. Should I use my old or new passport when I sign up for the courier service. I’m worried it needs to match the one I used for the ds260. Will take both passports to the interview. Any advice would be welcome!

What documents are you referring to?
I’m yet to have my interview but pretty sure it’s original birth certificate and police report.
Hope that helps!

I know the documents we need to bring, but I would just like to know what they really look! We are a family of 5, a lot papers 😅

Yes, they need originals of the scanned documents you sent in with your application. You must take the exact documents that you scanned in. plus a new police report if you needed one.
That part takes the longest of all the interview process! It is a lot of documents, but have a folder with it all in organised and it’s easy!
If you have any more questions just ask!

Original Birth and Marriage certificates.

For children - they need the FULL Birth Certificte

Original Police certificates

Original health check records - but the clininc sends them directly.
