"Whoever kills an innocent soul, it is as if he killed the whole of mankind."

In other news, Oxford scholars unveiled an ancient Islamic manuscript that may

shed new light on the popular interpretation of the Koran. The historians argue

that the Koran has been misread and mistranslated for centuries, and that the

above quotation can be most closely translated as:

"Whoever kills an innocent soul, it is as if he drilled a hole in the pork rind."

That certainly seems to be the way many professing Muslims over the centuries (Yahya Khan, Zia, Khomeini, Saddam, Sudan's last three dictators, ...) have read it--almost laughed, but.
