Best way to get my Japanese wife to America

I'll spare a long story, but I suddenly moved back to America for work (I am an American citizen and lived in Japan for 3 years). And my wife had to stay in Japan (she's a Japanese citizen) 
I know that getting a US spouse visa is the easiest way, but can my wife stay with me in America to do the visa process? 
Basically I want to know what is the quickest way I can have my wife with me in America.

I think the quickest way is basically what you already suspected. I-130 petition for a spousal visa.

File I-130 petition (with I-130A spouse supplement) ASAP. I recommend online filing: https://www.uscis.gov/i-130

CR-1/IR-1 spousal visa but it is not "quick" right now 1-2 years.  Start with filing an I-130 petition.  Hopefully things will start to move faster once COVID is under control.  Good luck!
