Hello...On I-864 it asks for last 3 years of income....I didn't work for year 2004 so my income was $0.00 and I didn't file tax return for year 2004. So what should I do here? Should I put under 2004 " Did not file tax return" and attach a letter saying I didnt work thus I didnt file tax for 2004?

My income for 2006 and 2005 exceeds the poverty guidelines, but since I had $0.00 as income in year 2004, Should I have a joint sponser?

Another question I had was...Do I also have to fill out I-134 as well?? Why is there two different kinds of affidavit of support forms (I-864 and I-134)

Thank You for your help

If you put zero as your income, they won't be looking for a tax return. Keep it simple.

Generally, I-864 for is used for Immigrant visas whereas I-134 is used for non-immigrant visas. You don't need a co-sponsor, if your current income is good. For your 2004 situation, just write that you did not work at all in 2004, therefore, your income is zero. So you did not file tax for 2004.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
