Hello, All

My spouse case is documentarily qualified. I am waiting for "interview scheduled" email.

Mar 5, 2021: I got email to wait for 120 days and NVC will update us.

Jun 2, 2021: I got another email saying wait for 60 days.

60 days has been completed yesterday. Still no udpate from NVC or US consulate, Mumbai.

I am still waiting for "interview schedule" letter. :(

Is anyone in similar situation, or does anyone know solution to it?

Please help.

The only solution is to wait (patiently if you can).  NVC will schedule your interview when you reach the front of the queue for your consulate.  This is the process for immigrant visas:

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

@tchauhan:

  1. What is Documentarily qualified date for your spouse visa?
  2. Did you apply for IR1/CR1 or i130?

It depends a lot on the Processing Centre where the file is getting processed. Mine is at California Centre. Which one is your Centre?

My case is DQ since Nov 2020 at Mumbai consulate. I got 120 days notice then I got two notices of 60 days. Recent most on Aug 1st.
