Block 10 of the I-765 is asking for a Alien Registration Number (A-Number) or I-94 Number. K-2 visa holders do not have these. However, the mother here on a K-1 does. Do I use her I-94 number or write None in this block?

sailorinaz,

A K2 most certainly does have an I-94 number - they shouldn't have been admitted without an I-94.

K2s DO have an A#. If you don't have it ! Better find out what it is!

They failed to give my child [K4] on the I-94 at POE. Caused ALL kinds of problems with the AOS.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

The Immigration Officer never wrote anything on thier I-94's when they went through at the airport. He only wrote one on my finacee's I-94. Where would I find thier numbers?

We'll arrive in August, but so far I do have my A # on the NOA2 and in my visa, but my daughter doesn't have it on her passport :(

I'll ask about that at the POE, but I wonder is it a matter of "asking", Yodrak?

Beckypua, how did you solve your AOS problems eventually with your K4 child?

Wasn't solved until after AOS interview. They still didn't fix it at the interview.

We had Biometrics right after the interview. Told us we'd have GCs in 2 weeks. No GCs in 3 weeks so I called our local center.

Told us A#s messewd plus they forgot to fingerprint and photo anak.

Back on the plane again at $500 a trip to Honolulu for 20 minutes in Biometrics AGAIN. Waited another 3 weeks and wala. Called again and opo! Their computer system screwed up! Another $500 trip for Biometrics for the 3rd time.

Finally got GCs 2 weeks later.

I'd trying calling USCIS or make an info pass appointment and get anaks A# before you apply for AOS.

We we applied I just put the same A# for anak as wife. They obviously didn't catch it at MSC.

They should have caught it there.

Normally peeps get their Biometrics before the interview and it would have shown up then but for some reason we never got one before interview.

Still kicking ourselfs in the puwit for not going with a immigrant [CR] visas.

Would have saved over $4000 if you count work time loss, Plane trips, Hotel, Taxis Civil Surgeon fees, Getting SSN [Had to fly to SSA and CS also] etc.

Some times living in Hawaii can be a pain.

Hope the I-751 goes smoother.

Damn I thought the stress was basically all over at the USEM interview!

Wrong! It just took a month break and took off again.

Chris was a K-2 and he did not have an A# until the AOS processing began and one was then assigned to him. He did have an I-94 in his passport with a unique departure number so we used that on the I-765 form. The POE wrote K-2 with the 90-day date on the I-94. What I wrote for the I-94 number on the I-765 was the Departure Number in the upper left hand corner...that isn't hand-written, it is hard-coded onto the form.

sailorinaz,

A K2 most likely will not have an A# until the apply for adjustment or status. They will have an I-94 number.
