Wow.  You make it sound like it is totally a green card marriage.

Right.  And it sounds like the OP brokered this arranged marriage.

It’s an arranged marriage and I guess that was a factor in it, but sounds like OP just wanted what’s best for her/his cousin. I don’t really get arranged marriages so I guess there are various factors that tick the boxes to make both families happy and certainly a green card sounds like one of those. DoS and the consulates concerned are used to arranged marriages so I guess they know what to look for.

No it is not. I have no sister and she is like 12 yr younger than me but i always consider her my real baby sis. She is my happy place where i go for anything whether it is to share something or  whenever i feel down. I only thought to bring her here with me. Decision was on boy and his family too and also on my cousins parents. They all agreed on marriage(nikah ceremony) boy and girl talked with each other on phone then decided to pursue .
what i mean was i was married to green card holder and it was also arrange marriage and i did not know at that time that it will take so long to come here in usa. It was in 2008. I did not know at that time that it will take so long i just knew after marriage and i left with no option just to show patience. It was so stressful time cant go in details. I came here in 2013.For my cousin i just thought she will not face things like me but unfortunately she is facing.

Then it seems that she entered the marriage just to be able to come to the US. Why do you check her case? Why doesn’t she create an account here and post for herself? Is that how little she cares?

Plz don’t judge i never judge anyone and expect same from others.
She is new to all these things. She don't understand the process. I just decided to post not because she said but i wanted to get an idea that are there other people too in same boat and i-130 not yet approved after even 1.5 year. I was just trying to take an idea that is it because of covid or something is missing.
i dont think its a good idea to judge that its a green card marriage or not. It was mutual decision from both families and girl and boy talked for 1 good year before taking decision,

I really do apologize if you feel I was judging. But One thing to understand about VJ is that most likely, we will see things or situations in a similar way as the Officer handling the case at USCIS. And you’ll soon learn that comparing cases is useless -no two cases are the same. Good luck.

Girl is 24 boy is 30.

It seems they are old enough to run their lives and make their choices?

I understand you really like your cousin and want to help her immigrate. In the end, it is their case. They have a lot on their plate now.  They just got married, their family seem super interested in managing or at the least guiding their lives...oh, and they have to deal with the funhouses of US Immigration.

Ultimately, their immigration process will go better if they invest some effort into it.  Please encourage your cousin and her husband to sign up and ask questions directly.  The more ownership they take in their case, the more prepared they will be to navigate through the visa, green card, removal of conditions, and if your cousin wants, US citizenship.

You admitted that you brokered this arranged marriage for the purpose of bringing your cousin to the US.  I see no evidence of the petitioner's presence here, asking questions, as would normally happen.

What do you expect us to think?

It doesn't matter what I do or do not know.  What matters is the USCIS/DOS evaluation of the situation, and with an arranged marriage on the first visit in a high-fraud country, they've got an uphill battle ahead if they want the visa.

That's a.......green card marriage 😉

Yes. To us (and probably to the consulate and USCIS) a marriage on the first visit, with somebody from a high fraud country that has a cousin that desperately wants her in the US, with a family that is highly invested in the process, it is.
People that post situations like these here in VJ get upset with our “judgments”, which are based on what we read. They don’t realize that this is like a training for when they are in front of an IO. But to each their own.

This group is toxic now. It was much better few years ago.  Judgmental people who have no better thing to do.
do you understand all the circumstances? You have no shame in saying again n again fraud country? Who gave you this right. This shows your roots and mindset.
will she be the first coming here from Pakistan after arrange marriage? You have no respect for other cultures. who told you marriage on first visit. Boy belongs to Pakistan and went there ,one year ago before marriage. One year, after he came again toUSA, they talked on phone and decided to marry.  This shows really who you are and your mentality. Don't tell me what visa officer will ask and assume. They know our culture and marriages. There are plenty of ladies who r here after arrange marriages. If you cant digest this concept, it does not mean it is wrong.
this is extremism to only think that you are right and others are wrong.
ultimately it would not be your decision that she gets Green Card or not.
If you cant say something nice stay away from my post and show your hatred anywhere else.
