I also say to her in laws that there is something missing but they say we never got any email.

It’s easy to figure out, if they look up the case status online it will say if there was an RFE sent/what the latest status is.

What does the online status say? If an RFE was sent out, the online status should reflect this.

When you use an attorney, often the correspondence from USCIS goes straight to the attorney and the petitioner often never get anything. So it's possible something was sent to the attorney.

Whenever i check online like uscis case status it says case was received feb 2020. If address change, inform us. Nothing else. I said that may be lawyer died thats why something got off track but they say uscis has petitioner email too, they could contact him too. Inlaws says we have contacted mayor and mayor says wait till aug because 1.5 yr is max limit but what i think is mayor has nothing to do with it.
i jusy cant blv that case is not approved because of covid because i myself applied for parents and they got approved quickly. Done from nvc too quickly then why only her case is impacted because of covid.

If uscis had sent something it would be noted on the case status. What service center is it at?

Mayor? Nothing to do with anything. Do you /they mean congressperson?

If it’s California or Vermont service centers it’s well within normal processing times, very long there. Even for Potomac it’s still (just) within normal.  https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

I dont know case is applied from Wyoming or may be oklahoma. Because boys parents are in oklahoma and he himself is in Wyoming. Can you guide hos to know about which service center.

Wyoming mayor.

Mayors do not have anything to do with uscis as far as I know. I have only ever heard of people asking senators and congresspeople for help with uscis. Also mayors are city officials, not state officials, there cannot be a “Wyoming mayor”? Again, do they mean their congressperson?

It will be stated on the receipt notice.

It is not based on the geographical location of the petitioner.

Btw, why isn't he here asking questions about his own case?  Very odd.

Petitioner needs to look at his receipt notice.

The number you have starts with 3 letters. What are they? Just the letters not the whole number.

I’ve never used a lawyer for immigration but aren’t you supposed to let uscis know if the lawyer you’ve  listed has died and is no longer obviously able to receive mail?

I never used too. I applied for my patents and brother myself. Also my citizenship process i did myself but thing is its a different family. And they also thought good i think to hire an attorney may be. We cant say much to them but mother in law says that we have hired another attorney and she sent an inquiry. I don't know whats the res of that inquiry.

i feel so guilty i gave suggestion for this proposal thinking that he is citizen and she will be there in max 1.5 year.
thing that its not approved still stress me a lot. She is a pretty educated girl and could be married anywhere.

Wow.  You make it sound like it is totally a green card marriage.

I get the feeling the petitioner doesn't really care if they get approved or not, since he's not here asking these questions himself?

Right.  And it sounds like the OP brokered this arranged marriage.
