Please complete your timeline so we can help you better. Usually when they do a stokes interview is because they doubt about your marriage. What do you think makes them doubt about it? Any large age difference? Where is the beneficiary from? Do you live together?

My wife is only a year older than me

We are from the same country, speak the same language and live together.

You are right; It was a rough interview as it was our first interview. My friend told me it was a stokes interview. You are totally right the officer interviewed my wife first and then, the officer interview me for maybe 120 minutes. She asked me questions about my ex wife, my relationship with current wife then went over the forms and asked me to verify the information. She told me I would receive the decision letter in the mail. However, when checking my USCIS account the same day, it says "case must be reviewed.

-Yes, I submitted evidence with the petition, but I did not submit my medical, I brought it to the interview with me. We have been married for 3 years.

Thanks, I do appreciate your input as I am really worried.

@jacko paul Ok, then, you did not have a Stokes interview. If they want to call you for a second interview, they usually let you know that during the first interview. I do not think you will get called for a second interview.

Every officer has a different style. I think the officer asked you fairly straightforward questions. Based on the questions they asked you, I am wondering if the officer hadn't had time to review your file. Sometimes they do not and they just ask you questions to get a sense of how well you know each other. "Who do you rent from?" That seems strange. Did you send a lease with your initial evidence.

Here is something that also happens sometimes when you've been married for longer than 2 years. Sometimes the officer will be a little bit more strict to make sure that your marriage is real because they are about to hand you a permanent green card after all.

It is also strange t hat they asked you about your previous marriage from 20 years ago. Did you present a divorce decree?

I would just wait and see. You've been together for longer than 2 years. If everything checks out and it will, they have no other option than to grant you a permanent green card. Just wait and see. Live life in the mean time. :)

Yes, I presented a divorce decree as it is required for the AOS app I thought that was strange also that they were asking about that and I was not prepared for that. The IO even asked me about my ex-wife whereabouts, and my relationship with her currently. I believe it was because my ex wife petitioned for me back then and they had refused the visa and I put that on the form.

@jacko paul It is possible that the officer was just being thorough. I think you are and will be fine.
