Hi, anyone filed the i130 petition and heard back from the respective service center?

Hi everyone 👋🏽 Just thought I’d share my timeline with you all. Will update accordingly.

Case Approved !! 🥳🍻

SC: Texas (from the beginning)
USC OR LPR: U.S Citizen
Category: CR1
PD: April 20th 2021
NOA1: April 20th 2021 (I filed online)
Actively Reviewed: 11/18/2021
2nd Actively Reviewed: 01/13/2022
Case Approved: 01/13/2022
From submission to approval: 8 months, 3 weeks & 3 days. On to the NVC portion!

Some things to mention: I did file the i129f (not sure if it made a difference) on Nov. 8th 2021. I only sent in my marriage certificate and a copy of my NOA1 with it. The goal was not to get this approved, but trigger a response to the I-130.

I did contact my congressman, they said they would look into it further .. that request was initiated Dec of 2021.

I did not see the 2nd AR status yesterday. My case was in AR status for 58 days so I wasn’t really checking for it. Lawfully notified me today that there had been an update on my case. Checked the website and there was my approval notice.

Hope this helps and good luck to everyone still waiting.

@Danimals876-Wishing you ALL THE BEST.  So your I129F also ended up in TEXAS (I guess the first three character is SRC) ??

I mailed it to the Texas lockbox per the instructions on the site .. However I was not looking to get this approved. Just wanted to trigger some action on the case!!

Congratulations! I applied on January 15, 2022 online and my status is already showing case is being actively reviewed, i saw that on your timeline you mentioned your case wasn’t actively reviewed until a few months after submitting, Is this a good sign for me or no?

what would be the status before it says case being actively reviewed ?

Hey Love1227,

From what I understand, people have said that when it says actively review soon after submitting that it will stay in that status for a long time. However I’m not really sure. When I submitted my case April of 2021, it took 7 months to get to actively reviewing and then it took almost 2 months after that to get approved. So it’s really a toss up and also depends on the service center. I was at Texas from the very beginning till approval. My case was never transferred like some other people have said theirs was. Also before actively reviewing status, it would say ‘case received’. Here’s a screenshot of mine when it was at that stage.

Timeline

Filed a humanitarian expedite request for wife & daughter on 2/24/2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine. They live in the west (Vinnytsia) but our apartment was shaken by an explosion. Both expedite requests were exactly the same.

TSC: Wife's I-130 went actively reviewing on 3/4 and was approved on 3/4. It was sent to the NVC on 3/11. Her petition had been actively reviewing since Dec 10, 2021.

PSC: Daughter's expedite request was not processed within the 7 days so on March 16 I uploaded a copy (I filed online through the USCIS website so I had the ability to upload unsolicited documents) of my wife's NOA2 and the email saying her expedite was approved. Apparently this prompted an examination and her I-130 was approved on March 16. Daughter has been actively reviewing since Sept 10, 2021.

The irritating thing about this is that both petitions were apparently sitting on a desk ready to approve and all someone had to do was look at them.

USCIS

4/27/2021 - Filed wife's and 18-year-old step-daughter's I-130 package online

4/27/2021 - NOA1 received, Potomac Service Center (step-daughter)

2/24/2022 - Expedite request (humanitarian-Russian invasion of Ukraine) for both petitions

3/1/2022 - TSC granted expedite request

3/4/2022 - TSC (wife) I-130 approved!! Sent to NVC 3/11/2022

3/16/2022 - PSC (daughter) I-130 approval. I never heard about her expedite

NVC

NVC received daughter 3/20/22 and wife 3/23/22

4/1/2022 - Sent IV and AOS package via CEAC

Wife's payment status was "REFUSED" for several days but finally was confirmed

4/4/2022 - Submitted DS - 260 for both petitions - Requested NVC expedite 3/31/2022
