Hello all, I'm trying to help my dad process his N-400. He has a history of being arrested and he served community service hours.

I was checking the checklist and it says that "If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason, and charges were filed, send: An original or court-certified copy of the complete arrest record and disposition for each incident (dismissal order, conviction record or acquittal order)."

The lawyer that took his case is no longer available. I was wondering how I can get the necessary documents/evidences of his history for the application? Any tips and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Call County clerk or Courthouse. Easy

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

1. He can request a police arresting report at the police station where he was arrested.

2. Go to the courthouse and request the documentation of the arrest

3. Go to the DA office and ask for certify letter of the dismissal order, conviction record or acquittal order.
