Finally received my online access code today.

Added the 485 with the provided code and the 485 as well as the 131 and 765 populated in my account upon doing so. Now how do we go about accessing the 130 online as well? I can't add it to my account (error message "You cannot add this case to your account because it has already been linked to a USCIS account"), but neither can my husband. 🤨

Anyone been in the same situation?

Hi there,

I-130 belongs to the petitioner (your USC spouse) so you cannot add it to the applicant’s account (applicant owns I-485/I-131/I-765). It says it is already linked to your petitioner’s USCIS account. Does your spouse have a USCIS account?

Yeah we tried adding it onto my husband's account, then tried mine, and neither seems to work. Assume you guys didn't have any issues?

Not for us as we filed the I-130 online so no access code was needed for the petitioner.

Your husband will get another set of online codes for his uscis account. My wife got hers for i130 petition. So wait for a bit or reach out to emma to get new set of codes for husbands i130

Managed to get his account code via the chat/email today so that's sorted. Seems like the letter of it got lost as it's been circa 3 weeks since it was sent per the notice that was uploaded to his account.

Then my status rather unexpectedly changed to bio appointment scheduled a few hours later also. Got all excited only to get an error message when trying to download the appt notice 😂

USCIS playing so hard to get lmao. Guess I'll just hope this one will arrive sooner rather than later.

Excuse the double post.

Chatted to Emma to find out my bio date as I was stressing about missing it if the post gets delayed or lost again. So to update my lil timeline:

Marriage-based

7/26/2021 Petitions sent to Chicago Lockbox via USPS

7/30/2021 USPS delivered package

8/2/2021 Received text messages confirming receipt of I-130/I-485/I-131/I-765

8/7/2021 Received I-797Cs for all four forms in the mail

8/30/2021 Biometrics scheduled for 9/21/2021

My ASC allows walk-ins so I might try to get it done a little sooner than that if I can coordinate the car with my husband. But even if not... 21st September is a lot sooner for all of this to be done than I would've anticipated.

Congrats!  That's super fast. What's your ASC?

Thank you, I'm pleasantly surprised as well! My office is in Honolulu 😊

  • 2 weeks later...

Did a walk-in for my biometrics today - no issues whatsoever, the place was completely empty although I did bump into a girl looking for the building for her appt just as I left funnily enough.

Status on both the 485 and the 765 changed to "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS" about 30 minutes later. And my right index scanned as red during the appt though the lady didn't seem too bothered about it so I'm presuming that's fine. 😬

Thanks for the update. Great news that your FO in Honolulu allows walk-in. I had a different experience last Thursday when I tried to walk-in for my biometrics appointment at FO Reno. Just right after I got out of my car, the security guard exited the USCIS building to talk to me. You can’t even enter the building as the guard automatically goes outside to greet you. He said you need an appointment to get in with no exceptions unless you are a military family. My actual biometrics appointment is this Friday, Sept 17th so I can’t wait 🤞

Oh shame, I'm sorry to hear that! Glad your scheduled one is coming up shortly at the very least. 🙂

The two security guards also half badgered me with questions and looked over all my documents as well my vaxx card (Hawaiian things lol) for a hot minute also. I wanna say though the Honolulu ASC specifically says on their USCIS page that they allow walk-ins so perhaps that's worth checking for other people with bios coming up shortly for their own local offices. Also the opening times aren't quite correct - should be 9am to 3.30pm and not 4pm as it says on the website.

The appointment itself was done in literally 5 minutes too, which was quite nice. The lady who checked me in took my appt letter, the filled in AWS, passport and told me to sit down whilst she was inputting it all into the system and disinfecting the area. Then told me to stand in front of the camera, took the pic. Then told me to come closer to her for the digital fingerprints (left hand roll, then individually; same for the right hand). Then told me to sign with my new married name, gave me back the appt letter and AWS for my records and sent me on my merry way.

Woke up in the middle of the night today to random USCIS texts and emails saying "We have taken an action on your case. Sign in to your account to view your case status" but no updates are available when I check. I'm presuming this has something to do with the fingerprints and whatnot being applied in the background perhaps.
