My problem is the wife has never let the philippines and trying to make it easy on her for immigration entry

The nest option I see for MNL-DFW 1 way is Qatar but it's $2300.  If you want to super spoil her, BCLass is about $500 more. 1 stop in Doha.

CEB-DFW on Qatar is less than $800 so if you can get her to Cebu it would save some cash.

I am having problems locating a decent flight from manila to dfw, with out going through lax and at a decent price

I always booked thru American Airlines and they will use travel partner Japan Airlines from Manila to Japan and then you get on a American Airline plane from Japan to Dallas.  Since American Airlines is based in Dallas.

I haven't tried to book this flight in about 8 months, but it's something to keep as an option in the future.

Yes, I  flew Qatar once, very nice airline. If the layover in Doha is long, you might consider buying her a lounge pass.

I wouldn't worry about Qatar Airlines.  There was an article about 4 days ago about the US only having 1 airline in the top 10 airlines for 2021.  Qatar was number one.

While the reference, AirlineRatings.com's, list might be dubious, a bunch of news sites published it.  (Having United anywhere near the top makes the list suspect in my opinion.)

AirlineRatings.com's top 20 airlines for 2021

1. Qatar Airways
2. Air New Zealand
3. Singapore Airlines
4. Qantas
5. Emirates
6. Cathay Pacific
7. Virgin Atlantic
8. United Airlines
9. EVA Air
10. British Airways
11. Lufthansa
12. ANA
13. Finnair
14. Japan Air Lines
15. KLM
16. Hawaiian Airlines
17. Alaska Airlines
18. Virgin Australia
19. Delta Air Lines
20. Etihad Airways

Finally done.

Having United above EVA, ANA, JAL makes the list even more suspect...

I think having Qantas at #4 would make a lot of Ozzies laugh.

If you are trying to get your wife to DFW make sure you are checking one-way tickets.  Getting out of Manila is reasonably priced and has numerous options. It's the return flight on a round trip ticket from Manila and back that produces all the $2,000 and $3,000 results due to inbound passenger capacity limits by  the Philippine Government.

MNL-DFW, you could do an American Airlines ticket, with codeshare JAL from Manila and a single layover in Narita.  AA and JAL are well integrated in T2 at NRT and Japanese as a general rule are pretty polite, friendly and helpful compared to the average US airport if she comes up needing assistance figuring out the connection.  Also would have the port of entry at DFW at the end of the trip for a more elegant welcome experience rather than her going through US immigration somewhere across the country and then making a domestic connecting flight before you get to see each other.

That is only if you work there, and if work for a bad family/company. Qatar Airlines is awesome both my ashes and I love to fly them

Too add to that they are much more relaxed and friendly at DFW at your Port of Entry vs places like up north or the west coast.
