The current amount is $380.00. A money order or cashier check must be used. They don't accept personal check unlike USCIS. The amount should be payable to "Department of State" and you should write yoru case number on the top right hand side of the check/money order. I am not sure, if IV fee will go up from July 31.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

The link you are referring to is for the USCIS fees that will increase later this month: http://www.uscis.gov/files/nativedocuments...edule052907.pdf

The immigrant visa fee is for the NVC process, not USCIS. As far as I know, they haven't changed the fees for that and it is currently is $380.

From NVC website:

How Do I Pay the Fees for the National Visa Center (NVC) Services?

At the appropriate time in the immigrant visa process, the NVC will send the Affidavit of Support fee bill and the Immigrant Visa Processing fee bill. When you receive a fee bill from the NVC, send a cashier's check or money order in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank to the address shown on the bill (a return envelope will be enclosed for your convenience). The check MUST be made payable to the Department of State and be sent together with the immigrant visa fee bills. Please keep in mind the following when submitting payment for the NVC’s services:

* Do not send a personal or attorney/firm check.

* If you wish to send your payment via an overnight mail courier service, please note that only the U.S. Postal Service provides such delivery service to post office boxes.

* Use the return envelope provided to you, when paying the fees.

* Do NOT send any payments to the Portsmouth, NH address, as they will be returned to you.

* Send only the payment and fee bill to the St. Louis, MO address.

* Do not send any other documents to the St. Louis, MO address.

* Do not forget to put the correct postage on the envelope.

* If you have misplaced your fee bill or return envelope, please contact the NVC.

Note: It is important to follow the NVC’s instructions carefully. Sending the NVC documentation (or paying fees) when they were not requested by the NVC will result in a delay in processing.

How much are the fees for the National Visa Center’s Services?

The Affidavit of Support Fee is $70. The Immigrant Visa Fee is $335 and the Security Enhancement Fee is $45.

Yes, you have provided all the info. The IV Fee is $380.00 which includes the security enhancement fee ($35). So $335+$45 = $380.00. And NVC asks for one fee of $380.00 as IV Fee, they don't ask for two separate fees, $335 and $45.

Also, you don't have to use return envelope provided by NVC. They encourage using returning envelope because that way one won't make a mistake with the mailing address, as the envelope already has address written on it. One can use USPS envelope or any envelope, but has to make sure that they are not sending it to NH address, but to St. Louis, MO address.

To the best of my knowledge, USCIS is increasing fees from July 31, 07, but NVC is not.
