K1 Letter of Intent

Hey all. With the letter of intent to marry - do both signatures and dates need to be literal “pen to paper” signatures - or if the document is signed by my partner - she scans and sends it to me - then I print the document and sign it as well - will that work? Or can the document not be “scanned” by one party?

Not sure though but I have seen people say it is not meant to be scanned.

A careful read of the instructions will indicate that all evidence submitted shall be legible photocopies unless an original is SPECIFICALLY requested. 

 

An original (ie "wet" signature) is NOT specifically requested for a statement of intent.

 

A scan is the equivalent of a photocopy.

Maybe you have seen older threads about it? You used to need actual wet signatures once upon a time, but that is not the case anymore. The world keeps spinning and things keep changing.

Scanned was okay for my interview (in London), I had a letter of intent to marry from myself and my USC Fiancée,  which she scanned to me
