Hello all

I am a bit confused for the AOS of my husband. I have a GC and he is in the USA with me now and I sent an concurrent filing for AOS (forms i-130,i-485,i-131,i-765). I received the receipt numbers on text messages but i don’t know which date they will put on the receipt date.
1- Is that the date we sent the package ?

2- If The visa bulletin July 2021 is current for category f2a So why the processing time of each forms are so long? I am confused!
i have attached each of the processing time for forms 130,485,131,765 and the visa bulletin for july 2021.

3-  We live in California so does that mean I have to check the field california processing time ?

thank you for any clarification

Filed: F-2A Visa Country: Nepal
Timeline

1. It's the date they receive your package.

2. F2A being current implies you could file for i485/EAD/AP along with i130 otherwise you wouldn't have been able to do so. Each center or office will have their own processing times for different cases.

3. For i485, it's the field office serving your area. For other forms, it could be anywhere like Vermont too. The first three letters of the receipt are code word for service centers.

FYI, you should be looking processing times for i485 - family based and for i765 based on pending i485.

Hello arken,

Yes you are correct, I did sent an concurrent filing.
Also, you are right. For the i-485 processing time, I should look for family based but on the uscis processing time page, it’s only showing me for employment based i-485.
i have selected form i-485 and field office : California.

Please see the attached screenshot.

So what is visa bulletin current means? ( F2A -> C )

I already said F2A current on visa buleltin allowed you to send i485 package with i130 as opposed to waiting for months or years.

For i485, find your field office by punching your zipcode on

https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices

then select that field office for processing times.
