Bringing Children to Interview

Circumstances:

  • Currently living in Thailand.
  • I have two children, 1 y/o and 4 y/o.
  • They both have their CRBAs and US Passports.
  • Wife will attending CR-1 interview within the next few months.

Question:

  • Is it necessary, or is there any advantage to having my children accompany my wife at the interview?

Thanks for any help!

Not necessary and no advantage. If the plan is to show the products of her marital relationship, she can just bring their BCs and/or CRBAs.

Covid restrictions may even preclude them from entering the building

YMMV

My thoughts exactly.  Even pre-covid, most Consular IV units only allow the visa applicants to enter.  Even the spouse has to wait outside the Consulate.  Sometimes they wait inside the building but not inside the Consulate.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
