Digital Passport Photos

I'm filling out the electronic I-130 form and am a little uncertain about the passport photos. It says to write the name and A number (my spouse doesn't have an A number) on the back of the photos but I was planning to use digital photos. Is it fine to just upload the photo alone and maybe put the name/date in the file name? It seems a lot easier than printing, writing, and scanning the photos.

Use the digital photo for front side.

Upload a 2x2 white image with the name of the beneficiary to represent the otherwise of the photo you didn’t print.

I just uploaded the photos.  They are attached to the file and can't get lost as paper photos can.

Our visa was approved without issue and my wife and daughter are with me now in the US.
