I was married using Utah courts in an online ceremony. I was physically in London, UK with my now husband.  He was allowed to enter using the apostle, marriage certificate and letter from the County Clerks office. They told us if we weren't physically together after the wedding or upon arrival in U.S. they wouldn't have allowed him to enter the country

Yes, as long as you both are together they will allow him into the country. You can marry online and be physically in Paris, it's the same as marrying in Utah. Just have the apostille and marriage certificate expedited to you. I am a U.S. citizen but my husband is not. We also went thru webwed and paid waaayyy too much. It would have been cheaper to go directly through the Utah Court website. Live and learn, in the end it all worked out.

He can enter on a tourist visa but it will be only temporary. Not sure the visa or visa waiver program that France has with U.S. if you are already married and you want him to move to US and live here, you have to file the I-130, "petition for alien relative". If that is the case, he cannot come on the tourist visa or visa Wai er. If you are already married, it's not the K1 visa you want. You want the B1/B2 visa

No problem. I can't afford an attorney so I had to practically become an expert at this point. Lol. I also had webwed get me a letter from the Clerk of Courts in Utah saying that the wedding is not considered "virtual" and has the same standing as any other marriage performed in Utah. The apostille wasn't needed for United States, that is for France to recognize you as his wife. US CBP only wanted our marriage license, negative Covid test, and the letter from the Utah clerk of courts helped. Upon arrival to U.S., STAY WITH HIM THROUGH CUSTOMS. GO TO THE ENTRY POINT FOR HIM, DONT SEPARATE TO GO TO THE US CITIZEN CHECKPOINT. YOU NEED TO BE WITH HIM.

Yes, it is way cheaper to go through the Utah. It is $70 for the license (or $50 if you take a free marriage education course first) and then $35 to schedule time with the clerk to officiate the wedding. If you need an apostille, that's another $50 for 3-5 day shipping or more for faster delivery.

Omg, I know. I regret the ridiculous amount of money I spent using webwex. I realized it after I paid and of course, they don't do refunds. They upsold it so much. I was married on 4/20 and I'm still upset over the extra costs...lol

Of course. He will only be able to go as a visitor. You aren't allowed to apply for an adjustment of status if he came on a tourist visa if the original intent is for him to stay. That is fraud and he can get into trouble for it. My husband came back from UK with me on a tourist visa. We were going to return to UK after 90 days but due to unforseen circumstances,  I am not able to return right now. So, we are applying to adjust his status now. I'm sure they'll want to make sure it wasn't our original intent, which it wasn't.  He had return ticket and we have other evidence,  I'm sure it will be ok. But, yes, he can return with you. His visa will only be good for 90 days.

France uses the Visa ESTA program for travel to US. You go to the visa ESTA website (you can Google it) make sure it's the actual government site. You can apply online for his ESTA, they grant it as long as he has no criminal record. Super easy and only $14USD. With the ESTA and your marriage certificate, valid passport, he can enter US with you upon return. Upon entry he will automatically receive an electronic I94. He needs to have a return plane ticket for no later than 90 days upon arrival or he will be denied entry to united states. The ESTA approval only took about 8 hrs and I received confirmation email and printed it out
