Is getting an interview date with d-160 possible for CR1 couple?

So this is weird one. We filed an I-130 and was DQ 2/27/21. while waiting for an interview a student visa company said they could

get us an interview date. They usually only do student visas. So they suggested that they would fill out a d-160 to get our date faster

and then bait and switch when we get there. Is this even possible? what about the NVC, dont they need to send our case? Could this be just to get her a

temp visa to get in the states and then continue the process there so we could be together? I'm confused

and this sounds too good to be true. but I'm desperate enough to at least ask about this.

Are you suggesting that you might fraudulently book a non immigrant visa interview, and then show up expecting to have an immigrant visa interview?

Do you think that sounds legit?

No it sounds like i'd get the death penalty. But I just want to know what angle they are coming from. Could it be that they want to get us a nonimmigrant visa until the immigrant visa date so we could at least be together? I asked them and they have yet to answer, maybe tomorrow. I have nothing but time so I thought I would see what you guys thought.

The only legitimate thing that they can provide is help you schedule a tourist visa appointment, which you can actually do yourself.  You are allowed to visit on a tourist visa while the CR1/IR1 is in process, subject to CBP discretion.

If they suggest something else, like getting you an interview date for a B2 or student visa for you to surprise the consulate with your CR1/IR1 case instead....yeaaahhh, about that....

You do realize that nonimmigrant visas and immigrant visas are done by two separate units within the consulate?

YMMV

The angle is called MONEY. They will promise you everything if you are desperate and willing to pay for “help”

there is no short cuts on immigration process and this can bite you later. Be patient and do the right thing, wait for your time.

Update: Ok so I finally heard back from them and they said it was their error on the DS 160. What they said they meant was the DS 260 is what they wanted from me.

But now I'm super sketched out. I will not be dealing with this particular company.

The question becomes now is this a legitimate thing that another company can take the DS 260 and get an interview for you or is this just bad/illegal/immoral all around.

I know everyone has a sob story but its devastating our lives financially and I want to explore all avenues instead of just sitting on my hands.

You stated you have been DQ'd since Feb, yes?  What is your embassy?  5 months should be about the time your interview would be scheduled, but some embassies take longer.

There is no way to jump the line. Sitting and waiting is the normal in any immigration process.
Try to focus in other things, like preparing for the interview.

What this company is trying to offer is not legit. I really recommend you to don’t try to do nothing like that.

Be patient.

There's nothing you can do except wait.  You are DQ and your case is in line for an interview.  NO ONE can make it go faster.  Anyone who is telling you they can get advance your place in line is lying to you.
