Hi there,

I’m currently waiting for my pending AOS, and I just got a job offer! I know I will probably get my Biometrics appointment soon and i’d like to ask my i-765 to be expedited as soon as biometrics are done! I have a few questions;

- Are request to expedite with job offers are usually accepted ?

Who does it depend on? Like does it make a different depending of what type of job offer I got or not?

If you have any tips that would be amazing!

sometimes, even better if you can provide them stronger reason beside job offer. worth to try, doesnt cost u anything to expedite

never know for sure the exact reason . even a job as healthcare worker doesnt guarantee that

Several things:

  • You do not have to wait to get your biometrics appointment to place your request to expedite the I-765. You have a job offer in hand and can get the process started now. Some people have done it and it seems like requesting to expedite may trigger the biometrics appointment.
  • Yes, request to expedite based on a job offer are typically approved.
  • Who does it depend on? No one knows. A tier 1 or tier 2 takes your request and they may or may not ask for evidence of your job offer. I would personally just volunteer it. Sometimes they tell you something vague like "if we need evidence we will contact you in 5 days" and sometimes people sit in limbo waiting. If you have the offer, volunteer and send it to them via fax or email. Ask them. Be proactive.
  • It does not matter what the job is. You are also not tied to that job for life. If you find something better down the line, you can of course, take a better job when it arises.

Make sure to mention that you would like a combo card. Ask to expedite the I-765 and I-131 based on job offer. Sometimes the agent will just do it even if you do not mention it but often times, they do not approve the I-131 unless you ask. No worries, you will not have to provide proof of a trip or anything like that.

05-26-2021 - Received NOA/extension letter. Notice date and postmarked 05-20-2021.

05-23-2021 - Received text message with Receipt #. YSC Potomac Center.

05-21-2021 - Checks cashed (processing on joint checking account)

05-07-2021 - I-751 received in Arizona.

Marriage-based AOS - Concurrent filing.

05-07-2019 - AOS Approved. Resident since date 05/07/2019.

05-06-2019 - AOS Interview

04-23-2018 - "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

03-16-2018 - Priority Date.
