Hello, I am really sorry you're dealing with this. Here's some information regarding it:

Before your n400 interview or applying, please to check that you are not registered to vote. You can do so online by visiting your state's election website or even calling your county/township elections office.

If you're registered to vote. Request a copy of the voter registration to make sure that you never claimed to be a US citizen and or checked YES that you would like to be registered.

CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR INFORMATION MATCHES THEIR VOTER REGISTRATION RECORD

Check to make sure that your name, Date of birth and address match the voter profile. Look for inconsistencies like wrong spelling of name, wrong address, wrong date of birth, voter history that doesn't match when you entered the USA. Eg. You arrived on March 3, 2016, but your voter history shows that you voted on November 3, 2009. You were not here at that time to vote!

If there's any voter registration inconsistencies, you can include that in your letter explaining what happened, to the effect of, this information (name, Date of birth, address etc.) does not match my record. Provide proof of your record to show differences.

IF YOU INDEED REGISTERED BY MISTAKE. Request to be deregistered and ask for a letter that it was done, then write a letter explaining what happened and what steps were taken to correct the error. Best wishes 😊

1 month after submitting letter from elections office showing that I never registered and my own explanation as to what happened.

Did they bring up this issue in the interview or did you bring it up? If you did being up, did they say anything like “oh yeah we saw on your record”?
