Just posting an update:

My fiancé arrived in Paris today, his interview is tomorrow morning. He stopped at the post office for the Chronopost envelope and they only had a size that is slightly larger than the 25x36cm requested. It was 60 euros! More expensive than his round trip from Porto to Paris.

I saw that some of the French applicants who interviewed on October 6th already got their visas, I'm wondering how long it is taking for Portuguese applicants? With the border opening announced for Nov 8th for vaccinated travelers, flight prices are skyrocketing. We already had a travel voucher from a previous cancelled trip so we booked a flexible flight for late/mid November to try and get ahead of the prices. Hoping we won't have to move it.

Yes, the 59€ Chronopost Envelope is the one required and it's also different visually from the pdf. Guess they haven't updated the pdf for a few years now. Unfortunately, lifestyle in Paris is way more expensive than the portuguese. Everything just adds up way too quickly and way too much but it is what it is...
We also saw that @Jess.s received their visa (congratz on that!) but we haven't received any e-mails from the embassy. We also have a flight booked way before they even delayed the interview date but we thought of all the delays of people not getting their visas sent, so we had booked a flexible flight. We also hope we don't have to change it, since it will also mean we have to book another airbnb or hotel and there's other added people/animals awaiting for us. (Also would be cool having our first Halloween together ;P)

Good Luck (Boa Sorte) for both of you 😃

Thank you for the information PDC! Unfortunate how slow things are at the embassy. Patience is a virtue works well for our situation.

My fiancé was approved! He was told the visa would be printed today, and he'd receive it "very soon".

Congratz!

CEAC status changed to "Issued"! It seems like that means the visa has been printed, and they'll ship it out soon.

We also had our status changed to "Issued" the very next day of the interview. Today we received an email warning us that they have sent the visa and it will be delivered in the next few days! So it took them 11 business days from interview to email for our case.

Congrats, @neto-66 and @JobbinsKnobbins! Persistence and patience really do pay off. It seems like @Paris DCand I are the two last standing on this thread, hopefully not for long.

I got my interview scheduled today! My fiancé was the one who received the email from the embassy, not me. Fingers crossed it isn't pushed back, and I hope @Paris DC gets his interview soon, too!

Just one more message, @JobbinsKnobbinsand @neto-66, did you/your fiancé(e)s have to schedule a medical exam in Paris? I can't find the address/contact details for the doctor in Lisbon...

Great news it is everyone.

What was in the email from IV pending if you don't mind to tell please?

You said instead of you email address it was sent to your fiance's.!!  How come?

I am still waiting, but I can say frustration is knocking daily at my Zen attitude door.

Thanks

PDC

The email said: "Please be informed that your fiancé’s interview has been scheduled for November 24th, 2021 at 09.45 am." and then more information about rescheduling, what to bring, and so on.

It was the exact same email we received when I had my first interview scheduled (that I ended up missing). Again, they only sent it to my fiancé (he's the US citizen) and address the email as "Dear Sir" (I'm a woman).

Keep in mind I'm from Portugal. I'm not sure if I got the date via ParisIVPending because of that. No dates show as available on the portal anyway. I would have thought you would get the same date as me, since we both were told we would get interviews on the same week or so... Maybe send ParisIVPending an email asking for an update (and include URGENT in the subject line)? I did that and 3 emails later I got an answer back. Who knows...

I know the frustration feeling... I'm sure you will receive your date sooner rather than later. Keep holding on.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

I send a reminder email about 2 weeks ago and received a classic " we do apologies etc...and that they will book my interview in the next few weeks, stand by" ..I had the same back in May.

I am also aware that the website is clearly Not available.

Anyway I will let you all know !! Thanks for the support.

BTW everybody else French and Portuguese Don t hesitate to share your experience as well.

Be all well.
