Seeking help from Congressman

My husband had his interview March 25, 2021. We were given a yellow 221g slip due to missing documents (which we submitted and they were received) and placed in administrative processing. We have been on administrative processing for 75 days (business days). Our status changed from refused to ready in April but we have not heard anything since. I wanted to reach out to my local congressman in hopes that it may assist with his process but I a little hesitant due to many mixed reviews that I have read. If anyone could share their experience I would greatly appreciate it.

75 days isn't that long imo especially in these situations. It depends on what were the missing documents.

Congressman can ask for update and the info he /she gets will be the same you already know

Case is going thru AP

Depending on the country this is weeks ,  months or as much as a year

it is for additional security checks

Thank you for replying, he was missing a police record. We sent it in the same day as the interview and the embassy received it 2 days later.

AP cannot be expedited or waived.  Congress cannot do anything but inquire, and they will get the same information available to you.

The congressperson will basically help you get the same information (or a tiny little bit more info) of what you already know. But they can't help speed up anything.
