What I mean is, did you get the email where they say something like "your request has been forwarded to the embassy....."

No, NVC said it was denied due to visa number unavailability.

Is it true that NVC is only expediting emergency life-and-death cases? My husband, the petitioner. has multiple health issues - epilepsy, heart disease, stents in heart, and depression. We are trying to expedite my IR1 interview on medical grounds (with a letter from his MD) but not sure we stand a chance. Any input would be appreciated.

It may worth trying. You have more chances to get approved.  They denied my expedite request this week. I applied based on medical profesional ground. My wife is doctor in India and that is why I applied for healthcare ground but they denied it.

Thanks for the response! I'm sorry to hear you got denied. We sent off the email today because it was worth a shot. Just looking for different opinions from people who've been through this.

They replied me in 15 days. So hopefully you get approved before Christmas. Good luck.

That is not true, at least on my experience. Our reason for expedite is not LIFE&DEATH nor MEDICAL, but we got approved. Any reason can be submitted. We all stand a chance and you will only find out what is thr decision is to try.

Perhaps email the immigrant visa unit @ London or try call them if possible, when did you submit the original email to NVC expedite?

Hi, sorry to butt in but I'm kind of in the same situation. What is the email for the immigrant visa unit/number?

"How to contact the Immigrant Visa Unit at the U.S. Embassy London" https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/visa-information-services/contact-us-immigrant-visas/

When did you submit your expedite?

Thank you and congrats for the approval! Just out of curiosity, may I ask on what grounds you requested the expedite? This is just to assess our chances for approval. Please feel free to message me.
