Hi,

Thank you for letting me know,  did you just mail to the address mentioned on USCIS page field office one right? Did you write a statement that due to this reason requesting for the case for expediting. She is right now located in her birth country and not in USA.

I wrote directly to the Seattle USCIS office since that's qjwre we were going to be served anyways.  Yes, I made my own template for an expedite request explaining the details why I was asking for an expedite.

I will also write then to my local office, i hope they read their mails. What did you mention on the by the way if i may ask. Do you have any templates i can use? Not the reason just the wording as to it should be addressed. Did you send in the documents as well for the same?

Also do you know by any chance how do we get connected to a live agent in ask emma?

If you message me your personal email I can send you a template.  Yes I had to send supporting documents along with my expedite request, like my copy of orders, Japan foreign clearance guide, etc.

Thats actually a good point, she is not from any developed country so it would be a massive culture shock. What are my options apart from fastening the process?

The other option is to prolong it. It will take quite some time these days anyways. We went through the process while the now husband was deployed. I had my interview a couple weeks after he got back. Worked perfectly fine but he was at a place where he was able to communicate and access the internet without problems when I needed something from him. Might be more complicated if that's not an option for you.

We lived together in Germany. We could have timed it that I could have moved with him when he pcs'ed back to the states but he deployed 2 months after that. To me it made zero sense to move here already if he's not home anyways.

It took a good year. I was able to expedite my EAD though cause of the husbands upcoming deployment. Told USCIS I need it to get a DL and that I wouldn't be able to care for myself without it.
