My fiance has been calling the state department religiously to check on the status of his interview date. So far, he has been told that all the paperwork has been received and that the D-230, part 1 (I think that's the number) has been processed as of Monday's phone call. We sent packet 3 on April 23rd. From the timelines I have looked at, we should be getting an interview date any time now. Does anyone one have experience with this seemingly endless wait we're in right now with the US embassy in London? How long did it take to get an interview date after sending in packet 3? Is there anything we can do to help it move on? Also, how long from the receipt of packet 4 is the actual interview, usually?

Thank you. This being apart without knowing when we'll be together is harder than either of us imagined.

Did you try phoning the US Embassy in London?

We're going to try that tomorrow. We've gotten word that the medical is the only paperwork left to be approved but the State Department could not provide more details. We'll call the doctor to make sure it was sent and ok. Hopefully we get word soon!!

Thanks :)

THat is an exceptionally long time to be waiting for London. It does seem that they are not moving much at all lately, though. You may want to head over to the UK regional forum. Several of us over there are keeping a pretty close watch on timelines and such. To be honest with you - the info line can't really tell you any more than DOS with London. They CAN, however, give you a passcode for the email line so you can send an email direct to the embassy without it getting "deleted without being read." Just tell them your situation and that you'd like the email code. It doesn't seem they're very good at responding to the emails in most cases, but at least you're fairly confident that they are being read that way.

Hope this helps!

EDIT: For interview timelines check the link in my signature or this thread in the UK subforum!
