I just received this update on my husband's status:

On July 8, 2021, we cancelled your interview for your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, and mailed you a cancellation notice. We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if we need something from you. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by August 7, 2021, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

They originally scheduled it for August 11. I've read somewhere it could be a glitch? Is that possible? I'm confused. Would it take another few months just to reschedule? I hope not. We have been waiting for 2 years.....

@Diana B, the letter does state that they will notify you if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made or if they need something from you. It could very well mean that they may waive the interview and approve you. I do not want to get your hopes up but it seems possible.

I would probably call and make sure that the appointment is, in fact, cancelled and that this is not a glitch.

Be very careful with that notice as it could indeed be a glitch.  My wife and I had that same thing happen for our AOS interview, and after perusing this forum, we decided to ignore the cancellation and just show up anyway.  If worst had come to worst, we would go home again, but we didn’t want to risk a no show denial.
And we were right: sure enough, nobody even so much as mentioned a potential cancellation; they had our file and were ready to go.

If it were us, we would just pretend that you never got that cancellation notice, even if your designated field office a ways away from where you live.  It’s a lot easier to drive home empty handed than to fight a no show denial handed down from USCIS…

Best of luck at any rate!

I would personally show up for the interview, worst  case scenario, they send you back but at least you can have peace of mind.

I agree with Ecaen87! I think you should still show up.

This could also be a potential possibility. If you provided enough evidence in your initial application, they might approve your without an interview. My husband and I provided A LOT of evidence, crossing our fingers that we might not have to go in for a interview and go straight to approval.
