While CURRENT is king, the Consulate Officer has full discretion to consider overall financial circumstances and stability.  If in doubt, have a joint sponsor ready.  Good luck.

Also, is 50K enough for a joint sponsor?

We can’t tell you without knowing how many people the sponsor is financially responsible for… have you checked USCIS poverty guidelines?

Your timeline shows you just sent the petition in in June 21

By the time of his interview you will have a year or more at this present job and would have filed 2021 tax returns

so,  at that time check your 2021 income against the poverty level guidelines

have a joint sponsor ready in case u need one and when you do the I 864 have a new letter from employer to show work is steady and permanent and the most recent pay stubs  along with your 2021 IRS transcripts

Hi,

Last year when i filed my taxes i hadn't earned anything, however since then i got a good paying job enough to sponsor my hubby. Do i still need a joint sponsor?? The only proof i have is the offer letter and a couple of months pay since this job will only be on next years taxes.

If in doubt, get a joint sponsor ready. That´s what I did and was able to not worry about that aspect at the interview. Ended up not needing it, BUT was very glad I had t all ready.

Do i have to include the joint sponsor at the NVC stage or do i bring it to the embassy just incase they ask?

If you already submitted your things to NVC wait to see if they have any comments when you DQ.

When I got DQ they made a note saying I did not have enough earnings. So I went ahead and had a joint sponsor lined up (I didn't send them the info, I just filled out a new 864 and brought all the joint sponsor info to the interview).
