WE LIVED IN MEXICO CITY AND HAD A SON. WE WERE NOT MARRIED. FATHER OF MY SON USED AN ALIAS ON THE BC. he is a us citizen. HE IS NOW IN THE US AND IN PRISON WITH HIS REAL NAME. HE WANTS TO FILE CRBA FOR MY SON WE ARE NOW IN THE PHILIPPINES. IS IT A PROBLEM IF HE USED AN ALIAS and we will file for CRBA here in philippines.

That will be problem. You guys need to go the Mexican agency in charge and try have that birthday certificate corrected with his real name.

I'm not sure if that's possible.  It's pretty clear that you need to file it where th child was born.  But i think i read somewhere they can receive it but it will sent still at the US embassy in Mexico. Something like that.  But anyway, you need to fix the alias name problem first and gather all documents from pregnancy and giving birth.  Plus have him sign and send you notarized forms and his proof of physical presence. But i don't know how its gonna work if they ask for dna if he's in prison.  Maybe easier to wait after he's out.

oh thanks for the tip. i really want to be directed on what i need to do. i cant go anytime soon to Mexico. im lost on what i need to do. or where i can ask. since my case is pretty rare and complicated. i have docs i need. when you say notarized forms, what forms are they? thanks so much. 

 

if ever they can receive it and send it to US embassy in Mexico, it looks like i can still try and see what they will say....

Yeah,  definitely just go and email them. Ds2029, ds5507 and ds3053 has to be signed by him in front of a US notary.  They also need either his original passport or notarized copy of his US passport.

i just want to confirm.. i will go and email the US embassy in Mexico right, not the US embassy in Manila? :) i appreciate your time to reply and your answers  definitely is a help.
