Two months since RFE response received?

NOA1 for I-485 on Dec 5th 2020, got an RFE in March. They received the response on April 27th (had to submit my tax return for last year).

 

Does this seem quite long to wait for an update since then? It's been over two months and we're VERY ready to have the biometrics set to get the EAD.

Not really because your next update would be for EAD or AP and they are currently taking up to 10 months (without RFE).

You would not receive an update that the RFE has been "approved" because there is no such thing as that kind of update.

Your next update for I485 would be ready to schedule but many do not even get that update and they are simply transferred to their LFO to wait in that line up for an interview.

You can look up the estimated processing times for I485 at your LFO to get an idea as to how long they are taking to schedule interviews there.
