CR-1 can I claim state residency

Hello, my wife (CR-1) just arrived about 3 weeks ago and applied for college. I been in my current state for more then 25 year, can she claim residency in state while applying for college?

Different colleges have different rules. Ask them. Some colleges only provide in-state tution if the student has lived in that state for 1 year.

No -it is not a requirement that you live in -state but her

For in state tuition  the candidate to the college must have lived in-state according to the college requirements (6months or a year)

It depends completely on what the state and that university defines as a "resident".  There is no federal standard.

If your profile is correct and you are a resident of Nebraska, she would qualify for in-state tuition according to Nebraska law:

 

(4) Such student is a nonresident of this state prior to marriage and marries a person who has established a home in Nebraska where he or she is habitually present with the bona fide intention of making this state his or her permanent residence, supported by documentary proof;
