I believe most denials happen soon after being filed. Which is a good thing.

Let's say someone forgot to sign their form or just flat out does not meet the requirements for the K-1 visa then it is better to get a denial early as opposed to waiting a year and then getting bad news.

So, if you applied and after a couple of weeks you do not get denied then there's a VERY good chance you will be approved, unless something comes up in background check or if you no longer fulfill the K-1 requirement at the time when you file gets the full review.

That's my point as well.. I look at my case as no news is good news..  it's all a matter of time.. ( yea some times there could be problems with someone's paperwork) but why would it take a year just to get denied.. ( but who knows )

I am actually confused. I am an October filer but I sent my documents on the last days of September and my case number starts with WAC-22900xxxxx

But on this excel documents I don't see any WAC number like mine.

I doubt that the list is correct.

Are you sure your number starts with 22900 and not 21900?

I am absolutely sure. I was actually wondering from which month did they start giving the number starting with "22900" that's why i was so happy to see that chart. But I guess the majority of some of the numbers are missing. Because I can say there's at least 500 files starting with "22900" just like mine.

Humm.. that is the first time I heard about it. Perhaps that series is not included yet. Might be added later by people maintaining that sheet?

USCIS year starts from October, and since you received your 1NOA on October so it's 2022. I guess that the explanation.

Wow!!! Are you sure those are in this week?

Yes, but all except 1 was expedited. It explains why the march filers saw a slow down of approval this week, because it seems that they are focusing on expedited request for Ukrainian filers across all months.

With that said, I doubt we will see any more movement for a while

I ran the numbers for July just for fun. We had 16 approval this week. I think all but one was an expidite request (most likely Ukrainian files). But it was still nice to know that there are July filers out there who heard something.

I’m a Ukrainian July filer, got the approved expedite but will have to wait to hear back about the decision on petition. This fills me with hope.

Make sure to update your timeline once you receive the news. If you expedited with USCIS then you will have to expedite with NVC as well.

It's my understanding that NVC doesn't really accept expedites for K1 because it's already processed 'quickly,' and essentially is ready for the embassy's request as soon as it's assigned a number (which is fairly immediate). I'm seeing a lot of March filers on Facebook, regardless of their country or their backlog, get sent abroad within 1-2 months of NOA2. Shockingly fast.

If I'm not mistaken, once you get your NVC number you can then petition the embassy for an expedite, correct?

You can ask for an expedite for K1 if your embassy is still slow and backlogged. If they are moving pretty quickly no need too. I actually requested a transfer to a new embassy and expedite and we’re approved for both. You have to ask NVC who will then send the request to the embassy. If the embassy approves then your case gets forwarded immediately. In my case I emailed the new embassy just to see if they would take our case which they approved and I emailed the NVCexpedite@state.gov to have it reassigned and the embassy also approved the expedite! Didn’t say anything special. So we’re now in transit to embassy as of Thursday!

Ah, understood; I thought that there were three separate expedite opportunities - (1) I-129F, (2) NVC, and (3) NVC -> Interview. Thus, I was under the impression you had to wait for your NVC number before being able to email the embassy for the expedite through that above address. Very interesting, thank you for sharing/correcting, and congratulations on being in transit! :)
