Few year back my US Visa application was revoked, Now i'm filling for new Visa application, However i'm confused with the question in DS-260,

have you ever been refused a u.s. visa, been refused admission to the united states, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry?

Should i answer it "Yes" or "No" because my visa was not refused but revoked ?

Sounds like a "yes" to me.

What does it mean to revoke a US Visa application?

Did you withdraw the application before a decision? Or did the consulate revoke the application? If so what was the reason?

The correct answer is "Yes": you were refused a u.s. visa. And given it was an IR2 case, that's a bad one. Hopefully the document issue has been corrected and the invalid document wasn't a material misrepresentation.

How do you know it was not a material mispresentation?  If it was serious enough for USCIS to revoke the petition, it would appear it was likely material to the case.

Actually USCIS revoke the application because they sent us email to submit more documents but we couldn't sent them on time, and due to which my application got revoked.

Your posts are a little confusing -- but i belIeve USCIS had approvec the petition and you went to the visa interview.  It was then the consular officer t

Who requested more documents because -- from your earlier post -- "a document was not valid".  After not receiving a valid document in place of the invalid of one, the consular officer returned the petition to USCIS, which then revoked the petition.  Right?

If so, I would still believe that the requested document was very material to your case -- and the one they have in your file is "not valid".

To make it brief:

- yes you were refused a visa

- assuming this is the same parent filing for you make sure whatever the problem with the last document was, has been fixed or you will get the same outcome. (Obviously they still have everything from the last application on file.)

Previously my step Mom filed for me on iR2 Visa category,  but now my biological father filed for me on F11 Visa Category, In previous case i don't had the correct Divorce Certificate (By correct i mean they required Divorce certificate form UNION council but i didn't have that one) between my biological Father and biological Mother at the time of Interview, and due to which my Visa application return to USCIS and they asked my step Mom for more evidence but she unable to sent the required document on time, Hense USCIS revoked the application. @jan22 Sorry for confusion hope this is clear.

It's clear -- as long as there actually was a legally valid divorce prior to your step-mother's marriage to your father, there shouldn't be a problem.  But, expect the issue to come up and have the valid documentation of the divorce ready to go if/when it's asked for.  (I'm not trying to be difficult or rude -- just anticipating issues you may encounter.)

Yes, i have valid documentation of the divorce if they asked for, I hope all goes well this time, it took like 8.5 years and still have to wait more :(.
